All of this is something our ancestors knew, but then forgetfulness began. The void started to be filled with the idea of the individual's separation from Creation.
All the ideas presented in this article resonate deeply with me, and I truly feel this is the case.
Thank you. This reading has brightened an already wonderful day. π
You're right, this is nothing new. We're simply coming full circle back to what was obvious thousands of years ago.
I have only two things to add or respond to here.
First, I suppose I insist on the biological basis because I am unaware of any alternative way for life to exist. If it helps, I also believe that what most people refer to as their "soul" is biological, but it operates in a subtler state of "matter" that is not acknowledged by modern science. Carry that idea over to animism, and it starts to paint a picture. As for what could be outside this all-encompassing biological entity... I don't know! It could be an ocean of amniotic fluid; it could be turtles. Turtles all the way up, down, left, right, sideways into infinity. π
So, in a nutshell, I would say I interpret animism as a fundamental component of the universe because it's probably a biological being, rather than working from the other direction. Visually, the bacteria in my gut might interpret a chunk of dead flesh as a surface to sit on, but that doesn't mean it wasn't once alive and therefore biological.
Philip Mainlander believed the Universe was the rotting corpse of an immortal God. I guess I'm getting at something like that, just less depressing...
EVERYTHING is CONNECTED
All things are together in one PLACE
Each thing is moved thru
NATUREβS pattern of SIGNals that give direction. π
.
The whole divides in to parts. π§¬
The parts move around and in and out of each other.
.
Like waterπ§ flowing π¦ in rivers and OCEANs π and changing into vapor π¨ and snow βοΈβοΈand ice π§.
The water flows in and out of creatures πΏοΈ and plants π±.
.
Every part is flowing, π and spiraling π πͺοΈand cycling round and round. π«βοΈπͺβοΈπ¦ π§¬
Things unFold π± then enFold π .
Everything in the UNIverse fits 𧩠because
each part belongs to the ONE whole patterned song π» and dance ππ» πΊπ»

I love this piece. The philosophy I practice has this oneness at its core.
Well said.
Love this response! So much depth.
