Great piece - Makes me think of Alan Watts’ quip about the “squares” of society who can’t see past their illusions as walking very high up on a tight rope. And that to tear down that illusion is dangerous because they have so far to fall. They’re truly “far out”. 🙃
A great article to consider in all conversations. Political, religious, philosophical, scientific. If you destroy someone's beliefs they are not likely to join yours. In this time of political extremism this is needed more than ever. Look at your rival and try to find something you can agree on. Try to see why they believe what they do .
